The Development Association of Halkidiki SA (LGA) with the distinct title “ANETXA SA” is an anonymous company (SA) founded in 1992.
Our offices are in the city of Poligiros, the administrative capital of Halkidiki in Northern Greece.
ANETXA SA is the outcome of the common agreement and the main representative body of both the productive (private) and administrative (public) bodies of Halkidiki, and a tool for the coordination of policies, procedures and actions towards a common implementation of a novel strategy for territorial development.
The composition of the company’s share capital reflects the partnership between bodies representing almost the entire population of the prefecture, with an emphasis on the rural areas, as well as the social role assumed by the company within the framework of development in the Prefecture of Halkidiki.
The strategic objectives of ANETXA SA are:
- To promote the entrepreneurial, economic, social and, generally, the sustainable development of the region of Halkidiki.
- To provide scientific and technical support to Local Administration and other decentralized bodies and institutions of both the public and private sector.
- To implement environmental protection actions.
- To participate in international, inter-regional and local cooperation programs/projects in line with the company’s strategy
Since 1992, ANETXA SA has acted as a Local Action Group (LAG) in Halkidiki for five (5) consecutive LEADER/CLLD programs in Halkidiki region, in the framework of EU initiatives and the National Rural Development Program RDP), funded by European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Moreover, it is currently operating as an Intermediate Managing Agency (IMA) for:
- the Operational Program “FISHERIES 2014-2020” funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), and
- the Regional Development Program of Central Macedonia funded by the European Social Fund (ESF)
ANETXA has gained significant experience in Management and Coordination of numerous inter-national or inter-regional cooperation projects in the framework of EU funds, such as INTERREG projects, LIFE projects, ADAPT etc and it has always been open for new ideas for cooperation that fit our Local Development Strategy.
